SUSTAINABILITY AND FUNDRAISING WORKSHOP FOR INNOVATION OFFICES AND FINAL PROJECT MEETING

From December 10th to 14th 2012, the Uni4Inno consortium partners celebrated their final workshop at the University of Alicante, Spain.
The participants of the workshop included the Innovation Office staff and managers (Vice-rectors, Rectors) of each of the six Ukrainian partner Universities, members of the Chamber of Commerce Kiev, as well one representative from the Ukrainian Ministry of Education, and the EU partner Universities.
During the four days of the workshop and consortium meeting, the partners elaborated further on the sustainability and self-financing strategies for the Innovation Offices and the newly created Network ‘IITN’.

The MEETING OBJECTIVES AND TOPICS WERE THE FOLLOWING:

          Topic: TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER ACTIVITIES AND NETWORKS – Site Visits & Interactive Sessions I.        

Objective: inter-active working sessions with experts from the University of Alicante in the different areas of technology transfer. The Uni4Inno partners shall use the opportunity to talk to UA staff about how to better organize the different activities of their Innovation Office. The Session will be completed by a visit of the new buildings of the UA Science Park.

          Topic: CONSORTIUM MEETING. PROJECT STATUS AND ACTIVITIES UPDATE        

Objective: to discuss the recent activities and status of the Uni4Inno Tempus project. Partners report on the activities developed recently. Deliverables and documents required for the final reporting were discussed. 

          Topic: WORKING SESSION – UNI4INNO NETWORK        

Objective: this working session shall be dedicated to the uni4inno network creation and sustainability. Partners worked together on the pending tasks for the network, develop a network work plan

          Topic: WORKING SESSION – SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGIES       

Objective: partners conducted a SWOT analysis for the created Innovation Offices (one per office), shared first results. Future sustainability and funding strategies for the offices were discussed and elaborated. After the workshop, all partners were required to finalize their sustainability and fundraising strategy, and obtain the formal institutional approval.
